This interactive journey takes place at Shield's Farm and is designed to present the Christmas story to children in a realistic & meaningful way. Pilgimage Junior is specifically designed for families with preschool and elementary-aged children.

Follow the Angel Gabriel on an immersive pilgrimage to Bethlehem. Wear comfy shoes - our travels along the paved walkway will take us to several live-action scenes portraying the Christmas story, where children will have the opportunity to meet and speak with figures such as Mary and the shepherd.

Kids will love our cast of live animals, including sheep, goats, donkeys, cows, and even camels! Petting is encouraged during certain portions of our Pilgrimage Junior event.

Families can attend this event by parking at one of Delmont’s participating churches and riding a shuttle bus to the Cabin at Shield's Farm for their scheduled Pilgrimage Jr. time. Please plan to board the shuttle at least 30 minutes prior to your ticketed Pilgrimage Jr. start time to ensure your timely arrival at The Cabin.

Your family is welcome to visit Faith Global Methodist Church anytime between 3:00 and 5:00 PM on Sunday 12/7 for a birthday party celebration in honor of Jesus! Make a Jesus Tree ornament craft, sing “happy birthday” to Jesus, and have a wonderful party! All activities are complementary.

Join us between 3:00 and 5:00 PM on 12/7 for a “Star of Wonder” festival as part of the Pilgrimage Junior event! Enjoy complementary games and prizes.

Be sure to visit Trinity United Church of Christ during your Pilgrimage Junior visit to Delmont! Visit with Santa and Mrs. Clause, enjoy multiple model rail road displays.

Handmade craft items & Select food items will be available for purchase at several churches along our complementary shuttle loop. Restrooms will also be available at these churches.

Pilgrimage Junior is full of fun photo opportunities for the whole family. Be sure to visit our interactive Mary & Joseph station, where visitors can pet and take photos with a live donkey!
